Govt. distributes LED bulbs under UJALA Scheme

Govt. distributes LED bulbs under UJALA Scheme

Indian households are rapidly adopting LED bulbs in a bid to make their homes energy efficient.

LEDs are extremely energy efficient and consume up to 90% less power than conventional bulbs thereby drastically decreasing power costs.

Also, money and energy is saved in maintenance and replacement costs due to the long LED lifespan.

Not only Energy production but also energy conservation has been government's endeavor for the past two years.

This is the reason that stress is being made on the distribution of LED bulbs thereby resulting in less consumption and more light.

Under Unnat Jyoti by Affordable LEDs for All i.e. UJALA scheme, LED bulbs are being distributed at low cost.

Specialty of LED bulbs is that a 9-Watt LED bulb gives the same luminosity compared with a 100-Watt incandescent lamp while consuming less than one-tenth of the power reducing electricity bill to a large extent.

Every person who switches to LED bulbs will help lighting up someone's home through the energy savings.

Efficient domestic lighting is one of the largest contributors to energy savings globally. Under the UJALA scheme, distribution of LED bulbs in 125 cities across the country has not only helped in saving in units but also in daily carbon emission reduction.
