Baisakhi celebrations across the Nation

The festival of Baisakhi is being celebrated across the country today  with much enthusiasm and fanfare; the day marks the beginning of harvest  season in many states; President, Vice President and Prime Minister extend  their greetings to the people.

Vaisakhi, Vishu, Puthandu, Mesadi, Vaisakhadi, Pana Sankranti and Bohag Bihu  are being celebrated with great fervour.  President, Vice President and Prime Minister have greeted the nation on the occasion.  President Mukherjee, in his message expressed hope that bounty of nature continues  to shower its blessings on hard working farmers.  The Vice President said that these festivals associated with the onset of harvest season  reflect the rich agrarian traditions and composite culture of our country.  The Prime Minister, in his message, Prime Minister has expressed hope that these festivals  will herald happiness and prosperity for mankind.
