Cabinet also gave ex-post-facto approval to MoU with Bangladesh for Mode of Operation of Border Haats signed in 2010 on Indo-Bangla border. India will establish new Border Haats after identification of locations in consultation with Bangladesh & concerned states. These Border Haats will promote traditional system of marketing local produce through local markets on currency/barter basis. Agreement also includes transnational organized crime and trafficking in illicit drugs, narcotic and psychotropic substances. Cabinet also gave ex-post facto approval for signing of MoU between Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise. The objective of MoU is for co-op in civil aviation, which will cover, to begin with, airports of Jaipur & Ahmedabad. CCEA approved VRS packages at 2007 pay scales to employees of HMT Watches Ltd., HMT Chinar Watches Ltd. & HMT Bearings Ltd. CCEA also approved 4-laning of 99-km Nagina-Kashipur section on NH-74 in Uttarakhand & UP at a cost of Rs.2535 crore. Project to be implemented under NHDP Phase-IV on Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) basis. |
